Can someone ’splain to me why SO much interest is paid to the Maternity industry? I know women have babies all the time, but let’s be real here — she’s gonna be packing that extra heat what three, four (maybe five) months tops?!!!
I, on the other hand, have made a decision to carry a little extra heat for the sake of preserving my sexy. Now we got newly minted Project Runway impresario Christian Siriano teaming up with Moody Mama’s for what looks to be the start of a very cute mommy-to-be collection.

If you got time to make a size 14/16 or 18/20 A-Line for a preginista — then SURELY you have the time, skills, & expertise to pop one out for lil old me? Granted, I can’t tell if they approached him or if it was his idea, but still!!
This just takes me back again to ye olde surplus store deciding to take all the plus size clothes out of the store and making them online only*. First of all, that boxy @ss $hit, you know d*mn well I need to try that on before I leave up out of here!!! And why do I need to sit at home like a hermit and shop online? Shopping online is a matter of choice and convenience — not circumstance!
What is about these clothing manufacturers? You can respect my money as long as you can’t see my face (or waist)? AND has anyone ever told them that it is a WASTE of $$$ to buy maternity in the first place? Most pregnant women (with sense who have not been blinded by marketing) will tell you this.

You close down a perfectly good Bolton’s (where I was known to score some cute scarves, necklaces, casual tee’s, and after 5 blazers/jackets)…. to put up a STRAWBERRY in midtown manhattan?
And it was ready to open today in less than 2 weeks I swear. I should have taken a pic…
There have got to be a 100 Strawberries in Midtown alone. Can I get more than one Lane Bryant or Ashley Stewart? Hell, I’ll even take a Pay/Half since we’re talking quickie discount gear.
