Today, I had the most awesome experience of my life! I went to Intimacy (the bra fit specialist). When I tell you that my entire life has been changed- I feel like singing old negro spirituals when I got home.

I’ve been fitted for a bra before, but the fit person has always tried to compensate for my cup size by increasing the band. Ladies, ladies, ladies – this is the boobie kiss of death! I’ve been wearing a bra with a band size 4 sizes too big and a cup size that do not correspond to my actual cup. I actually found out today that my cup size doesn’t even exist in an american bra (let’s just say above G), and definitely not at my band size (36).

When I got home I tried on half my closet, and almost everything in it was like a brand new item in terms of fit. I am just amazed at the difference. So amazed I have called all my friends, changed my facebook status, called my mom… Pretty much told anybody who would stand still and listen (male or female).

I was even pleasantly surprised when I saw the prices. I had totally planned to go in & purchase ONE bra for like $100! I actually was able to score some “Panache” superbras (yes, that’s the name & yes, they are super) in the range of $50 – $60. And they were pretty sexy too which was right up my alley. For my size, this is the closest I will ever get to a La Perla or Agent Provacateur. The store also offers lifetime fittings for any issues with the bra, as they have a seamstress on staff – which for $50 a pop, I feel is above and beyond. I’ve paid nearly that much for fit and quality that didn’t come near what I felt today.
