Putting a (dare i say it) fat girl, on the cover of your mag does not constitute inclusiveness and variety. Nor does it speak to the volumes of different sizes, shapes and colors of people that are respresented in this vast world.

I am not going to waste more words on why this is not enough… NY Mag did a good job of that already.

LOVE - UK, Conde Nast

So back in August of ‘07, Avenue announced that they would be carrying the Seven7 jeans line (formerly carried by LB). This was in my pre-blog days when I would just send random emails to my friends with my fashion annoyances or praises. This one was an annoyance, as they were only going to carry them online.

They have since smartened up, and have now decided to carry the brand in the stores. Definitely the right move, because as I’d mentioned in the email to my friends Seven7 brand jeans are NOT the kind of jean you just buy, you HAVE to try them on first. Especially if you’re over 5′4″ – you would more than likely end up going up about 3 sizes to get your length right.

Seven7 (Trouser Jean)

There is actually a brand of jean that dliteful found at Macy’s during one of the weekend trips I took to visit her a while back. I have to ask the name of them again. They had a fit similar to S7, and the lengths were just right.
